The Shopping Forecast

Shoe designer Steve Madden is a household name Stateside, not to mention a celebrity favourite - Kate Moss, Kirsten Dunst, Lindsay Lohan and Lady Gaga are just some of the stylish stars who have been spotted out and about in his fashion forward pieces. His stores are top of the go-to list for the fashion pack when they visit New York and L.A. and he was the man the Olsen twins roped in to help when they wanted to add shoes to their label, Elizabeth and James. And now, at long last, Steve Madden has hit the U.K.

From today a pop-up shop will be open on Broadwick Street, London, jam-packed with all the hottest styles you could wish to get your hands on. I went to the champagne-fuelled opening last night and believe me, my wish list is lengthy. Whether you’re on the hunt for summer flats or statement heels, you’ll find it here. My hot pick? These Banglez sandals, £100, which will be perfect for my summer holiday in a couple of weeks.

For the moment the store is set to remain for the next six months, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed that it will prove so popular that it will become a permanent fixture. Will you be visiting?
