Mademoiselle

After a hectic week in Milan I’ve taken the day off to mooch around Portobello in the manner of somebody who works four day week. Wouldn’t that be lovely?  There’s barely enough time to cram in all the events, launches and presentations we attend as it is so a four day week isn’t going to happen for anybody working on ELLE. I haven’t been to Portobello on a Friday for ages but I know exactly what I want.  I’m looking for some vintage 70s blousey blouses, am thinking Chloe AW09 show.  Looking online this morning at the Nina Ricci show made me want to go and find some creamy silky Victorian nighties or slips to layer under knits and t-shirts. First stop Starbucks, second stop the park as The Dog is sitting with his lead in his mouth. He might have to stay and go out with the dog walker today though as I’m planning on visiting the Tate Modern and pooches aren’t allowed in there, that would be one good thing about living in Paris, dogs are allowed anywhere, restaurants, department stores, they’re everywhere.  Speaking of Paris, I had better get my skates on, I’m off there tomorrow and my suitcase is still half full of clothes from my Milan trip last week.  Wish me luck with my vintage foraging.
