Oh my, what a fashion off occurred this morning. I hopped into the back of the fashion van (the van that takes Team ELLE around Milan all day long) and low and behold I was wearing almost the same outfit as the Fashion Director. Oh horror! I was working a bright purple mini dress by top shop, the Fashion Director was doing a Chloe version of my Topshop - uh oh. I had decided to show off the last off my Ibiza tan (can’t believe I actually got one) with bare legs and big biker boots. So did she. Who was going to get changed? We decided it was the new ELLE uniform and embraced our twinning instead!
Oh my Marni! What a great start to the day. It was all wonky proportions, little short jackets, knee length skirts and longer line cardigans. It was all so colour clash-tastic! The lights were so bright I had to pop my Chloe sunglasses on. Speaking of sunnies, Marni has made some with bits of elastic that go all the way around the back of the head - brilliant when bending over, not so brilliant for the hair style.
Dashed around all day (biker boots are the new trainers) and then it was off to the Gucci show. Oh my, next years Gucci girl will be sporting little shrunken leather jackets with black bondage trousers festooned with gold zips. Rhianna was sat in the front row, I almost got knocked over by her body guard who got twitchy when he thought I was trying to get close to her. Calm down everyone, I just want to get to my goddamn seat. It’s not all about celebrities you know.
Anyway, THE most fabulous thing happened when I left the Gucci show. I was walking across the road trying to find my van when I caught a hot Italian gentleman, who was sitting in his Porsche, checking out my legs. 10 seconds later he crashed his car into the one in front. Now that has put a smile on my fashion weary face. X
