Mademoiselle

I went to the Calvin show yesterday, twas a sea of white and so bright the entire American press popped their shades on. The hairdresser had obviously been inspired by just out of bed hair that happens to me when I’m in New York - what is it with the water here? The supers all sported scruffy ponys and mildly mucky hair, perhaps to balance out the pure perfection that was the collection. The clunky silver slingbacks are already on my fashion scroll for next summer.

Anyway, apart from that, the other most exciting part of the day was all of the plastic surgery that has occurred over the summer holidays! Wowsers. Nose jobs, brow lifts, facial injections, I’ve seen it all this week. But yesterday took the biscuit, I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw a knee lifted 40 something year old woman with legs like a new born baby sat opposite me. How and why?
