Mademoiselle

Went to Copenhagen fashion week the other day. Wonderful wonderful! I was not prepared for so much rain (see photo’s). I love the Danish, they can drink most nations under the table, well, bar yours truly. They are so hospitable, and so good looking too, the men should come with a health warning. I felt like I was in an all day long diet coke break – lost count of how many deep blue eyes I wanted to jump into. Anyway, the weather forecast was for rain at midnight and the DAY show was due to start at 10pm, which is really late but shows here are less like a show, more of a party, no, make that a rave. 10.15pm – no show, 10.30 pm – no show, 10.45pm – rain started, 10.46 pm – show started. Oh lord, end up sat underneath an umbrella, front row, in the rain at 10.46pm in Denmark. Only alcohol will see me through this one. Where is my drink? Was this in my job description? Didn’t think so.

The models looked like they were about to slip over, celebrity hair wilted and I was wearing my just-new-out-of-their-box AW08 Givenchy Gladiators. Humph. Not so wonderful wonderful now. Went back to my hotel which was called the Skt Petri, one of those design hotels but with Scandinavian clean lines and blonde wood, I’ve got blonde on the brain. Anyway, walked through reception, and I kid you not it was a disco. A disco of pert blondness (ahem, moi included). Must stop thinking about the blondes. Had to pop in to see what was going on, if only to check out the blondes.
