I’m not often rendered speechless, but when I saw these pictures last week of two of the chicest purveyors of style alive today, celebrating Germany’s Oktoberfest, one dressed up as Frauline milkmaid (Claudia Schiffer no less) and the other (Karl Lagerfeld) staring in to the heaving breasts of another chic A-lister, (Salma Hayek) also dressed up as a wenchy milk maid, I hardly knew what to say. We’ll nothing repeatable here anyway.

Has the strain of designing three collections (Fendi, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld) and whirling around on the international fashion circuit for over a month finally gone to their heads? Or was it the Oktoberfest beer?
