What’s hot and what’s not
posted 17.04.2009Going up:
Marc By Marc Jacobs: At long last the London store is finally open! Thank goodness, no longer will we have to trek all the way to New York to stock up on lipstick pens and heart shape mirrors, we can just potter down the road to Mount Street. A slice of designer style for under a tenner? Such recession chic…
TOus: This Spanish jewellery brand has just hit our shopping radar and we’re hooked. Not only is ELLE cover star Kylie the face of this season’s campaign (click here to check her out in the video directed by uber cool photographer Ellen von Unwerth) but the pieces are too good to miss. We’ve got our eye on this Betty bow ring (£54) which you can snap up in Westfield or the brand’s hot new store on Regent Street…
Behind the Seams: Looking for something to keep you entertained this weekend? Make your way to The Tapestry Gallery in Soho and check out this just-opened photography exhibition by Alistair Guy. It features, pictures of a whole host of our favourite female up-and-coming designers (including Hannah Marshall, Daisy de Villeneuve and Ben Grimes) hard at work in their studios…
Going down:
Kate Moss’ feet: Poor Kate has jetted down to California with boyfriend Jamie to enjoy the Coachella music festival. Sadly, rumour (according to The Sun) has it that her enjoyment is being hampered by a mysterious foot infection for which she is having to to take powerful antibiotics. The culprit? A pedicure in a cheap salon in New York. Best stick to Cowshed all the way, ladies…
Woody Allen v American Apparel: The battle between the veteran comedian and the hip clothing chain has been rumbling on for ages after American Apparel used Woody’s image in an ad without his permission. The case is set to head to court on Monday but we remain mystified - who thought Woody Allen was a good poster boy for gold lame leggings and sweatbands anyway?

Maybe American Apparel should have chosen Mr Motivator instead?

Maybe American Apparel should have sticked to their regular porn stars, like Sasha Grey.
