What’s hot and what’s not

Going up:

Village fetes: Get yourself down to the V&A this evening for the French Connection sponsored village fete - forget Victoria sponges and low-rent raffles, this is a much more stylish affair. Indulge in helium-fuelled karoke, have your picture taken as a work of art or play hoopla to win Tatty Devine jewellery. We can’t think of a more English way to spend a Friday evening…

The Wackness: Stonewash denim + Doc Martens + May-Kate Olsen = our idea of film heaven. Look out for this movie, all about New York in the 1990’s, which hits screens on 29th August, is set to be the inspiration for our autumn looks. Book your tickets now…

Mary-Kate Olsen

The wedding of the year: Forget Colleen and Wayne, we want to know the juicy gossip about Marc Jacobs impending nuptials. Rumours are flying around the fashion world that he’s set to wed his boyfriend of three months in Paris this weekend. Of course, it can’t possibly be true - we haven’t had our invitation yet…

Going down:

Crocs v Sketchers: Apparently Crocs are suing Sketchers for copyright infringement. Frankly we think they should stop arguing between themselves and apologise to the rest of us for making such horrible footwear…

Ronaldo’s skin colour: Now, aside from the fact that we’re thoroughly jealous that he has so much time on his hands to lounge around in the sunshine instead of sweating it out in the office like the rest of us, we’re starting to get seriously concerned about his skin tone. Isn’t he embarrassed to have a tan even a page three girl would be ashamed of? Isn’t he concerned about the wrinkles his tan is likely to induce? Has nobody told him about St Tropez? We think we need to have a word…

Sore feet: If you’re the kind of girl who ends up carrying her shoes home after a night out dancing then the clever people at Rollasole are here to help. They’re putting vending machines full of ballet pumps into clubs across the country so that whe you’ve insisted on wearing the shoes that look pretty but are desparately uncomfortable, you can make a wuick change half way through the evening…

Oh my god…these were my little fashion secret! I discovered them a couple of weeks ago online, and now I take my Rollasoles in my purse everywhere, soooo lush to break out for emergency foot relief, cheap and stylish…just like me! lol x

Rollasoles - genius idea. I’m too short to go out in flats and these shoes were brilliant for throwing on when my feet gave up after 5 hours of 3 inch heels. The bag it comes with is really cute too, added bonus
