Oasis shopping parties

posted 18.11.2009

If, like me, you love to shop but could live without the hordes that hit the high street on a Saturday afternoon, then you probably dream of having the V.I.P. shopping experience - shop kept open just for you, champagne on tap and a few freebies thrown in for good measure. But, unless you’re Victoria Beckham, it’s unlikely to happen. Until now.

Oasis

High street favourite Oasis has given some of its most popular stores a make-over, and to mark the occasion it’s giving you the oppurtunity to treat yourself to a post-work personal shopping evening. The deal? The doors will be locked to all but you and up to ten friends, cava and cupcakes will be plentiful, plus there will, of, course, be discounts. You’ll get 15% off every purchase and the party hostess (make sure it’s you!) will be given £150 vouchers if you collectively spend over £570. Brilliant.

If you want to get involved then email fashionparty@oasis-stores.org.uk and book yourself in. Happy shopping…

It’s for the children…

Children In Need may be a great cause but sitting in a bath full of baked beans for charity isn’t my idea of fun. Thank goodness for Lily and Lionel. The luxe scarf label is donating 10% of all its profits to the charity throughout November, which means that I can invest in one of their much-coveted leopard print pieces guilt free. Doing my bit is so satisfying…

Shoulder pad DIY

posted 16.11.2009

Shoulder pads are quite the thing this season and I’ve just spotted these on UrbanOutfitters.com. The site says that they’re designed to be worn under your favourite tops and dresses - but surely they’re far too pretty to be hidden? I think a shopping trip for a new tee is in order - one that I can sew them to the outside of.
